Fun Flower Vase

This was a fun and easy project to make.  I saw the idea from a gift and made my own version to give as a gift!  I used the Everyday Enchantment DSP, ribbon, and brads from the 2012 Sale-a-Bration catalog.  The glass is filled with dried garbanzo beans, which went well with my color scheme and added a fun texture. 

Twin Layouts

I used the same layout for these two cards but made them completely different with the color and picture choices.  I really like them both!

Boxed In

This card is simple and neat- I like how it almost has a rustic feel to it!

Bugs!

It sure has been a buggy summer here- especially mosquitoes!  But this card is made of cute bugs and bright colors- which I like!

Here to There

This fall I will be starting student teaching and I know this process will not be easy.  After meeting with my site supervisor I was inspired to make something to remind me of some of the things I will need to get from 'here' to 'there.'  I always like to have little cute reminders of important thoughts/ideas to look at and keep me motivated!

I used the new Stampin' Up! in colors to create the scalloped edges to go along with the bicycle stamp!

Strawberry

I wanted to make a card with a strawberry on it since I have been eating strawberries, so here is what I made!

Our Purple Door!!

My husband and I wanted to paint our front door and this is what we decided on...

PURPLE!!!!

I didn't want typical door decor for our new door, so I made my own.  I attached three mini wreaths to the long sticks and tied random fun colored ribbon around the wreathes. 

Our door isn't boring any more and we love it!!!

Rochelle's Birthday!

Yesterday was my sister Rochelle's Birthday!  This is the card I made for her.  Nothing fancy or even Birthdayish, but I like it!

 I love the combination of Rich Razzleberry and Rose Red, and the dotted Soft Suede DSP went perfectly!  I stamped a Mini Vintage Tag with the bird from Itty Bitty Bits and hung it on crisscrossed Rich Razzleberry ribbon and added a pearl to the flower to tie everything together and make it look finished.

Button Frog

I've been wanting to use the Button, Button stamp set for a while so I used it for my sister and brother-in-laws wedding anniversary card.   I stamped the buttons on Whisper White using Real Red, Not Quite Navy, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, and Elegant Eggplant.  I crinkled up and tore the edges of Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie squares and stamped the frog from 'Unfroggetable' on a circle sponged with Not Quite Navy ink.  I really like this card -it has my favorite colors and I love buttons- I hope Rochelle and Jon like it too!

Baby Shower Gift

This weekend I went to my cousins baby shower.  I wasn't sure what I should get her but I wanted something special.  I had a lot of time on my hands so I decided to make the gift!  This is what I came up with-

I'm not much of a sewer but I figured I could handle hand sewing a 'play block' made out of fleece.  It took me two tries but I think it came out pretty good.  I enjoy designing frame projects, so I used my 'play block' as my inspiration for the frame. 

I used the Fox and Friends stamp set with Tempting Turquoise, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, and Daffodil Delight.  I added some Tempting Turquoise ribbon and some buttons to embellish it.  I personalized it by adding 'Wyatt' with white stickers. 

I also made a baby card (it should have been coordinating, but I made the card before I knew what I was making- oh well they all turned out cute!)  

 I got the idea from the SU! 2010/2011 Idea Book and Catalog page 91.  I made the Pear Pizzazz envelope with the Big Shot Scallop Envelope.  The stamped images are from 'All in the Family' and 'For a Friend.'
