SCIC Challenge #65 Yellow Flowers with Bike

I really liked the yellow flowers in the bike basket for this months Stampin' Celebration Inspiration Challenge.  It definitely said 'spring' to me!  I created my own yellow flowers in a bike basket for my card.  I used the bike from the Moving Forward stamp set and added So Saffron flowers to the basket (they are yellow, even though you can't tell it in the picture!)  The boxed Old Olive DSP reminded me of the basket in the inspiration.  I embellished with Chocolate Chip ribbon (retired :()  and the friends stamp from Tiny Tags.  Thanks for looking!

SCIC Challenge #65 Little Houses

When I saw this months Stampin' Celebration Inspiration Challenge the houses made me think of the Good Neighbors stamp set. So that is what I used!  I used the colors Perfect Plum, Island Indigo, Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Crumb Cake and Rose Red.  I stamped the houses on a Framelit Label and sponged the edges.  I did a little splatter on the Crumb Cake.  I topped it off with some Delicate Details Lace Tape and a cute button!  Thanks for looking!

Love SCIC Challenge #63

I needed to make a quick Valentines card so I came to the Stampin' Celebration Blog for some inspiration!  I did a replica of the frame in the inspiration.  I have been wanting to use the Glimmer Paper, so this was perfect.  I made the card 3"X3".  It is super simple with a bit of sparkle!

Simple Love SCIC Challenge #62

I made a little love note for this month's Stampin' Celebration Inspiration Challenge #62.

The soft colors made me think of something sweet and cute, and I knew I wanted to use the retired Sending Love Notes as my base.  I stamped the Pink Pirouette cardstock with snowflakes from The Snowflake Spot stamp set using Whisper White Craft Ink.  I cut the letters with my Bigshot and outlined them with Pool Party polka dots.  This was a very quick card which would be great for Valentines!  Thanks for looking!

Stampin' Celebration Challenge # 59

It was time for another Stampin' Celebration Inspiration Challenge!

When I first saw the challenge I had no idea what I was going to do.  I eventually went with punching similar flowers out of cardstock and ended up with a very simple but neat card.  The colors I used were Baja Breeze, Tangerine Tango, Basic Gray, Basic Black, and Whisper White.  Thanks for looking!

Fall Candle

I really liked this month's Stampin' Celebration Inspiration Challenge.  Fall is my favorite season. I love everything about it- the colors, the smells, the weather, the activities...and we are finally going to have some fall like weather this week so I was excited to make a fall project.

I really liked the mason jars and candles in the inspiration so I went with that and created a candle holder.

I stamped leaves from the retired Autumn Leaves stamp set on crinkled up vellum and cut them out.  I like how the crinkled vellum added a leaf-like texture.  The belly band was done using the same technique with the Woodgrain stamp.  I added punched branches and Dahlias to finish it off.  I created a crinkled paper flower for the lid to tie into the inspiration even more!  I filled the jar with crinkled paper confetti and a flameless candle.  This was a fun home decor project just in time for fall!

ColourQ Challenge #150

I really liked working with the fun colors this week from the ColourQ Challenge #150.   I needed to make a Birthday card so these colors were perfect.

I made the cake out of card-stock and embellished each layer with a different pattern.  I made the 'happy target' from the round 'Happy Birthday' stamp from the Happiest Birthday Wishes stamp set and just punched out the 'happy circle.'  This was a fun card to make and it would be a fun card to receive!  Thanks for looking!

ColourQ Challenge 148

The color combination this week for the ColorQ Challenge #148 said 'flower' to me.  I learned how to make the flower on my card at SU! convention this year and love them!
http://colourq.blogspot.com/

I used the criss-cross card technique using Tangerine Tango and went from there.  This card is really cute, I just can't mail it very easily because of the 3D flower, so I will have to hand deliver it to someone special!

Ice Cream!

After I started playing with the colors for this week's Stampin' Celebration Inspiration Challenge #36 it made me think of ice cream.  I punched flowers out of Daffodil Delight, Regal Rose, Pink Pirouette, and Peach Parfait to create the ice cream.  The cone is hand cut from Creamy Carmel cardstock.  On the Whisper White background I added white polka dots by punching out dots and gluing them on to add a subtle background.  The sentiment is from the FYI stampset.  To finish it off I added Pretty in Pink ribbon and a couple rhinestones.

CCMC 143 Butterfly Celebrate

I made a girly, springy card for this weeks Create with Connie and Mary Sketch Challenge

It turned out that pretty much everything I used is non-current!  The butterflies and greeting is from the Just Celebrate stamp set.  I colored in the butterflies with Tempting Turquoise, Regal Rose, and So Saffron.  Thanks for looking!

Classy Thank You

I liked how simple the colors in the Stampin' Celebration Challenge were this week.  I made a very simple, but somewhat classy card to go with them.  I used a Basic Black base and put a piece of Whisper White embossed with Polka Dots and cut out flowers from the Big Shot.  The tag punch is stamped with 'thank you' from the Garden Greetings stamp set.

Flower Thanks

This week's ColourQ challenge had some fun colors to work with!  I really liked working with black and white and the contrasting colors.  The colors made me think of tropical flowers.  So this is what I made!

I punched the flowers out of the 5-Petal punch using Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, and Baja Breeze (I didn't have any Cool Caribbean...).  I crumpled the flowers and glued them onto a piece of Whisper White and added a black dot for the centers.  I cut three thin stripes of Whisper White and layered it with the 'thanks' from 'Outlined for Fun.'

Tulips for a Friend

I liked the mix of colors this week at ColourQ...this is what I did with them!

These were great colors to make flowers with, so I made some tulips out of the Tangerine Tango using the Owl Punch and outlined them with Early Espresso dots.  The Pear Pizzazz leafs were made from the wing in the bird punch.  The Early Espresso rectangles were filled with textured Bordering Blue paper.

CCMC136 Anniversary

Another new challenge for me... The Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Challenge!  When I first saw this picture I knew I wanted to use the flower colors.  I had a 50th Anniversary card on my to-do list, and after seeing the gold in the inspiration and thinking of the wedding theme, this is what I created.

The base of the card is Early Espresso topped with Whisper White embossed with swirls.  The flowers were stamped from the set 'Botanical Blooms' with Pumpkin Pie, Ruby Red, and Daffodil Delight ink.  I added more color to the card by adding a wrinkled piece of Old Olive over some Ruby Red.  To incorporate the gold for the '50th Wedding Anniversary' I punched three small gold eyelets at the bottom and put a piece of Ruby Red paper behind them so the color showed through.

Happy Birthday Owl

I decided to try the ColourQ Challenge this week.

The colors were fun and I instantly thought
of using the
Owl punch and making a birthday card.

ColourQ Challenge 73

             Here is what I created!

The owl was punched out of Crumb Cake and has Brilliant Blue eyes and is wearing a Pear Pizzazz vest.  The birthday hat was stamped and cut out from 'Sock Monkey' and the stripes were colored with Brilliant Blue, Pear Pizzazz, Rich Razzleberry, and Brocade Clue.  The Rich Razzleberry layer is stamped with 'happy birthday' from the 'Big Bold Birthday' stamp set.

Best Wishes

Here is my card and the inspiration for this week's

I like how 'fresh' the inspiration was this week and choose to highlight the little red in it and accent with the yellow!

I stamped the Whisper White with the background stamp from the set 'Sprinkles' and colored the flowers in using Daffodil Delight and So Saffron and the dots using Riding Hood Red.  The big flowers were cut from the Fun Flowers Die and sponged lightly with Chocolate Chip.  The Riding Hood Red piece was embossed with the Big Shot.  The two backgrounds are separated with Chocolate Chip Ribbon and I used the Modern Label punch to add the greeting.

Black and Red Gerber Daisy

Stampin' Celebration Challenge 38
Time for another Stampin' Celebration Challenge!  This week I focused on the red and black color theme and the Gerber daisy in the inspiration.

The card is set on a Whisper White background topped with a Basic Black piece embossed with the 'Perfect Polka Dots' impression.  I made the daisies out of Real Red card stock using the Daisies #2 Big Shot die.  The centers are punched from black and white polka doted designer series paper.  The bottom of the black was punched with the Scallop Edge Border and was tied with Black Satin Ribbon.
This could easily be a Valentines card, but I chose to make mine generic!

Forever in My Heart

My mom gave me the template for creating a 'big fold up heart card,' and I wanted to make one, so I used it for this week's Stampin' Celebration Challenge!  The inspiration had lots of cute 'love birds.'

Stampin' Celebration Challenge 37
I made the heart out of Cherry Cobbler cardstock and stamped the heart background from the 'Sprinkles' set in Chocolate Chip.  The belly band is Very Vanilla sponged with Chocolate Chip ink and embellished with a 'heart flower' and a pearl in the middle.

The heart folds into a little 'love' note!

Inside the card I bordered the Very Vanilla piece with Pretty in Pink.  I punched the bird out of Marina Mist, and added Chocolate Chip branches.  To finish off the card I added some punched hearts and the sentiment always on my mind-forever in my heart from the 'Stem Sayings' stamp set.

Birthday Bash!

was about celebrating with bright colors. They
Stampin' Celebration Inspiration 35
have lots of exciting news this week, be sure to
check them out.  It worked out great because I
needed to make a Birthday card anyway!

Here is what I created:

I made a 'waterfall' card starting with a Whisper White base.  The other colors I choose for my card are: Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Pink Pirouette, Real Red, and Bashful Blue.

The Birthday stamps are from the Sock Monkey set and I colored them in with coordinating Stampin' Write Markers.  The Happy Birthday is from the stamp set, Outlined for Fun.  I finished it off by adding buttons and a ribbon pull tab.

Blue Winter Wishes

This is my first challenge!  I did this week's Stampin' Celebration Inspiration Challenge #34.
My sister Rochelle, (check out her blog!) has been telling me to participate and since I stated my blog I decided to.  I enjoyed it and will try to do more!

Stampin' Celebration Inspiration

It is finally snowing here so I was in the mood to make a snowflake card- perfect!

I used Whisper White Craft Ink to stamp the snowflakes from the stamp set 'Merry and Bright' onto the Brilliant Blue cardstock.  On the bottom half of the card I stamped the sentiment from 'Heard From the Heart' with black Staz On on the vellum.  I added a simple bow with Whisper White Organza Ribbon but wanted to add some silver into it...so I went to my tool box and found a washer to tie the bow to!  To finish the card off I added the brads, rounded the corners, and mounted it on a Whisper White card base.
