Stampin' Celebration Challenge # 59

It was time for another Stampin' Celebration Inspiration Challenge!

When I first saw the challenge I had no idea what I was going to do.  I eventually went with punching similar flowers out of cardstock and ended up with a very simple but neat card.  The colors I used were Baja Breeze, Tangerine Tango, Basic Gray, Basic Black, and Whisper White.  Thanks for looking!

ColourQ Challenge 148

The color combination this week for the ColorQ Challenge #148 said 'flower' to me.  I learned how to make the flower on my card at SU! convention this year and love them!
http://colourq.blogspot.com/

I used the criss-cross card technique using Tangerine Tango and went from there.  This card is really cute, I just can't mail it very easily because of the 3D flower, so I will have to hand deliver it to someone special!

Little Flower Boxes

I love using little flowers on cards.  I made these two cards exactly the same just with different background paper- which one do you like better?

Classy Thank You

I liked how simple the colors in the Stampin' Celebration Challenge were this week.  I made a very simple, but somewhat classy card to go with them.  I used a Basic Black base and put a piece of Whisper White embossed with Polka Dots and cut out flowers from the Big Shot.  The tag punch is stamped with 'thank you' from the Garden Greetings stamp set.

Flower Thanks

This week's ColourQ challenge had some fun colors to work with!  I really liked working with black and white and the contrasting colors.  The colors made me think of tropical flowers.  So this is what I made!

I punched the flowers out of the 5-Petal punch using Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, and Baja Breeze (I didn't have any Cool Caribbean...).  I crumpled the flowers and glued them onto a piece of Whisper White and added a black dot for the centers.  I cut three thin stripes of Whisper White and layered it with the 'thanks' from 'Outlined for Fun.'

Tulips for a Friend

I liked the mix of colors this week at ColourQ...this is what I did with them!

These were great colors to make flowers with, so I made some tulips out of the Tangerine Tango using the Owl Punch and outlined them with Early Espresso dots.  The Pear Pizzazz leafs were made from the wing in the bird punch.  The Early Espresso rectangles were filled with textured Bordering Blue paper.

CCMC136 Anniversary

Another new challenge for me... The Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Challenge!  When I first saw this picture I knew I wanted to use the flower colors.  I had a 50th Anniversary card on my to-do list, and after seeing the gold in the inspiration and thinking of the wedding theme, this is what I created.

The base of the card is Early Espresso topped with Whisper White embossed with swirls.  The flowers were stamped from the set 'Botanical Blooms' with Pumpkin Pie, Ruby Red, and Daffodil Delight ink.  I added more color to the card by adding a wrinkled piece of Old Olive over some Ruby Red.  To incorporate the gold for the '50th Wedding Anniversary' I punched three small gold eyelets at the bottom and put a piece of Ruby Red paper behind them so the color showed through.

Black and Red Gerber Daisy

Stampin' Celebration Challenge 38
Time for another Stampin' Celebration Challenge!  This week I focused on the red and black color theme and the Gerber daisy in the inspiration.

The card is set on a Whisper White background topped with a Basic Black piece embossed with the 'Perfect Polka Dots' impression.  I made the daisies out of Real Red card stock using the Daisies #2 Big Shot die.  The centers are punched from black and white polka doted designer series paper.  The bottom of the black was punched with the Scallop Edge Border and was tied with Black Satin Ribbon.
This could easily be a Valentines card, but I chose to make mine generic!

Pot Full of Love

My mother-in-law keeps me in business- she has put in her order for Valentines Day!!
Today I created a heart bouquet in a pot.  I love how it turned out- it is soft and sweet!

I created the bouquet by punching hearts with the 'Heart to Heart Extra Large' punch using Regal Rose, Melon Mambo, and Pretty in Pink.  I put the hearts on Wild Wasabi stems.  The pot was hand cut from Close to Cocoa and I added a scallop punch to the rim.  The tag was created with Tiny Tags.  The background is DSP Candy Lane, Regal Rose, and Whisper White.
