Forever in My Heart

My mom gave me the template for creating a 'big fold up heart card,' and I wanted to make one, so I used it for this week's Stampin' Celebration Challenge!  The inspiration had lots of cute 'love birds.'

Stampin' Celebration Challenge 37
I made the heart out of Cherry Cobbler cardstock and stamped the heart background from the 'Sprinkles' set in Chocolate Chip.  The belly band is Very Vanilla sponged with Chocolate Chip ink and embellished with a 'heart flower' and a pearl in the middle.

The heart folds into a little 'love' note!

Inside the card I bordered the Very Vanilla piece with Pretty in Pink.  I punched the bird out of Marina Mist, and added Chocolate Chip branches.  To finish off the card I added some punched hearts and the sentiment always on my mind-forever in my heart from the 'Stem Sayings' stamp set.

Make a Big Wish

Boy Birthday

I love how simple and bold these cards are and how you can make them with any color to meet your needs.  I made a boyish card and a girlish card.  I stamped the Simple Birthday Thanks stamp onto Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, and Real Red and cut out each piece.  I added punched color dots for the sprinkles and used Crystal Effects to make the cherry shiny.

Love 4 You

I woke up this morning and was inspired to make a card from our cute bed sheets from Target!

My card on my inspiration- our sheets!

I punched lots of hearts from Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, Riding Hood Red, Baja Breeze, and Basic Gray cardstock and glued them coming out of the Big Shot Scallop Envelope in Crumb Cake.
The envelope is tied with Rich Razzleberry ribbon and I tied on 'love' and '4 you' sentiments from the Tiny Tags stamp set.  The Whisper White background was embossed with the big polka dot Texturz Plate.

I love these sheets and I love the card I created from them- they are both super cute and fun!

Monkey Love

I've been making Valentines cards and I wanted one that would work for a guy too!  I've always liked the Sock Monkey stamp set so I decided to make a love monkey!

I used Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, and Chocolate Chip cardstock.  I colored the monkey with Chocolate Chip and Creamy Caramel markers.  The Chocolate Chip is stamped with a heart background.  I tied Twill Tape around it and like how fun it came out!

Wishing You Love

This week's Stampin' Celebration's Inspiration Challenge #36 used some of my favorite colors together...pink and brown.

Stampin' Celebration Inspiration 36

This week I created a Valentines card for the challenge.

I used Chocolate Chip as the base and folded the 'cover' of the card in half.  I added an embossed (Perfect Polka Dots) piece of Chocolate Chip to the the folded side.  All the pink in the card is Pretty in Pink.  The 'Wishing you Love' stamp is from the 'For a Friend' stamp set, and the heart is from the 'Just Celebrate' stamp set.  I punched out hearts and layered the center one with a clear heart button threaded with Linen Thread.

Baby Shower Gift

This weekend I went to my cousins baby shower.  I wasn't sure what I should get her but I wanted something special.  I had a lot of time on my hands so I decided to make the gift!  This is what I came up with-

I'm not much of a sewer but I figured I could handle hand sewing a 'play block' made out of fleece.  It took me two tries but I think it came out pretty good.  I enjoy designing frame projects, so I used my 'play block' as my inspiration for the frame.
I used the Fox and Friends stamp set with Tempting Turquoise, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, and Daffodil Delight.  I added some Tempting Turquoise ribbon and some buttons to embellish it.  I personalized it by adding 'Wyatt' with white stickers.

I also made a baby card (it should have been coordinating, but I made the card before I knew what I was making- oh well they all turned out cute!)
I got the idea from the SU! 2010/2011 Idea Book and Catalog page 91.  I made the Pear Pizzazz envelope with the Big Shot Scallop Envelope.  The stamped images are from 'All in the Family' and 'For a Friend.'

Wedding!

Nick and I have been married for 6 months today!  We made all of our wedding invitations, programs, belly bands for our favors, and cut out lots and lots of daisies!!  It was a lot of work, but it was fun and totally worth it- good thing we had help from our families too!

Our Invitations:  Just for us!

Our wedding colors were inspired by looking up at a tree while laying on the grass.  They were: Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Whisper White, and a sky blue.

The Inside: We had separate cards that pulled out for all of the additional information on the left.
Nick helping!
What a mess I made!

Busy Bees!

Programs and some of the many daisies.
We did as much as we could by ourselves for our wedding- we knew what we wanted and everything turned out perfect!

Stampin' Celebration Inspiration 35
have lots of exciting news this week, be sure to
check them out.  It worked out great because I
needed to make a Birthday card anyway!

Here is what I created:

I made a 'waterfall' card starting with a Whisper White base.  The other colors I choose for my card are: Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Pink Pirouette, Real Red, and Bashful Blue.

The Birthday stamps are from the Sock Monkey set and I colored them in with coordinating Stampin' Write Markers.  The Happy Birthday is from the stamp set, Outlined for Fun.  I finished it off by adding buttons and a ribbon pull tab.

Pot Full of Love

My mother-in-law keeps me in business- she has put in her order for Valentines Day!!
Today I created a heart bouquet in a pot.  I love how it turned out- it is soft and sweet!

I created the bouquet by punching hearts with the 'Heart to Heart Extra Large' punch using Regal Rose, Melon Mambo, and Pretty in Pink.  I put the hearts on Wild Wasabi stems.  The pot was hand cut from Close to Cocoa and I added a scallop punch to the rim.  The tag was created with Tiny Tags.  The background is DSP Candy Lane, Regal Rose, and Whisper White.

Snowman

A simple and cute card with bold winter colors.

Blue Winter Wishes

This is my first challenge!  I did this week's Stampin' Celebration Inspiration Challenge #34.
My sister Rochelle, (check out her blog!) has been telling me to participate and since I stated my blog I decided to.  I enjoyed it and will try to do more!

Stampin' Celebration Inspiration

It is finally snowing here so I was in the mood to make a snowflake card- perfect!

I used Whisper White Craft Ink to stamp the snowflakes from the stamp set 'Merry and Bright' onto the Brilliant Blue cardstock.  On the bottom half of the card I stamped the sentiment from 'Heard From the Heart' with black Staz On on the vellum.  I added a simple bow with Whisper White Organza Ribbon but wanted to add some silver into it...so I went to my tool box and found a washer to tie the bow to!  To finish the card off I added the brads, rounded the corners, and mounted it on a Whisper White card base.
